Part I

Introduction
In this paper, I will be introducing the Online or Virtual Church. This is a real innovation that a few church uses but is not as popular as going to a walkin church for worship. With using the online church as long as the person as internet access either from a smartphone or computer will allow a person to view a church service.

Scope

Feature
The ability to reach many people through the internet
The ability to worship from a remote location
The ability to worship alone or with others
Limitation
If no internet no church service

Purpose
God kingdom building
Bring people closer to Christ
Able to hear the gospel be preaching
Able to have church services at home or remote

Supporting Forces (amenable issues)
The Pastor will be able to teach the faithful in sound learning, to guard purity of doctrine.
Allow the users to interact with the computer or handheld device visually with and images also Allow hearing by means of speakers or headphones.
Allow users to have church service from home or anywhere

Challenging Forces (difficult aspects)
Users cannot connect to the internet.
Users cannot afford the internet services
Users do not have the computer or the ability to buy
Users do not know how to use new technology

Methods:
The method I prefer to use is the Delphi Method which was developed as a systematic approach as forecasting method that relies on experts

  • Research organizations that had a good plan but that had something go wrong because of circumstances beyond their control; that is, technology was introduced, the market changed, an innovative competitor entered the market, and so forth.
In my paper, I choose to write on Firestone who was a leader in the tire industry.  In the 1970 firestone was enjoying at least seven years of growth. The number one company in the US as far as tire sales. The firestone had a clear vision as to the company plans which saw the tree
big automaker as their main customers. Which firestone save Goodyear and other US tire makers as their competitors. And the plan at that time was to keep up with the need for tires. Firestone had great success with it culture and operation that was a vision from it founder Harvey Firestone Sr.
Who treated his employee and customer as a member of the Firestone family. They had incentives to its employees such as Firestone country clubs. Firestone had loyal managers that keep with the family values of Firestone. The firestone plan also was to have a company operating and capital allocation process in place
to be able to handle the demand for tires quickly by bringing new production online. So Firestones was on top of the tire industry for a very long time. Which their strategies and value and it relationship with their customer and employee grew even more. For Firestone everything was great. Then things changed. A company from overseas name Michelin enter the US market. Which introduce a brand call radial tires which was safer and could last longer and was cheaper that old traditional US tires. Michelin was already the leader in the overseas market and was the intent of taking over the US market as well. Even though Firestone tried to invest in new products. Firestone stayed with it old way of working.  Rather than rethink the way it production process was working. So the CEO clung to the idea of the ever growth demand for tires and saw no need to change. In the end, the plan did not pay off and firestone lost the US market share to Michelin.

Find an example that illustrates a potential impact for your sociotechnical plan (see the Individual Project in this unit).
The sociotechnical plan concept is gear towards the social practices that position activities such as education and social that are built into a framework but also resides on a technological platform that makes possible the seemingly invisible fashion. Such as “YouTube”.
    Discuss why it is relevant.
YouTube is very relevant because there is so many learning modules.  In the past if you did not know how to do something you would have to call an expert but now .All have to do is google and there will be someone teaching on YouTube.
Describe 2 of the forces that may affect your innovation idea.
The two forces that I think will impact my sociotechnical plan which is YouTube will be technology and cultural. With both YouTube has changed for the positive tremendously.

In this paper, I will provide some example of discoveries from three types of the scenario such as Serendipity, Error, and Exaptation. I found that there was some great discovery such as Penicillin which proven to be a great medical discovery. Finally, I will give some personal discover from my childhood days. We were raised in a poor neighborhood so we had to make do.

Complete the following for this assignment:
Provide an innovation example for discoveries that are achieved through the following:
o    Serendipity
The discovery of Penicillin is the greatest discovery of man. In my opinion. The invention of penicillin saves so many lives. By the way, it was discovered in a case of dirty dishes. The medicine will be forever enshrined in scientific legend
o    Error
The discovery of the pacemaker was created from the wrong part pulling out of a box. It was in 1956 Wilson Greatbatch was trying to build a heart rhythm recording device at the University of Buffalo. There was a box of device or equipment. Wilson Greatbatch reaches into the box and pulls out a resistor, not of the right size. Once he plugged it into the circuit. There was a sound of the human heart.

o    Exaptation
The discovery of Plastic to me is a way of repurposing a product. How it was discovered was in the lab of Charles Goodyear. He combines rubber and sulfur on a stove, after sometimes cooking the it was discovered a durable material call vulcanization. Later call Plastic.

In your own words, what do these terms mean to you? Give an example of each term in your experience or that you have read about. Do not provide dictionary definitions.

    Serendipity:
This term reminds me of roller skates when I was little. We use a 2x4 piece of board and nail the skates to the board to make a skateboard. Or when we wanted to play basketball we nail a milk crate on the pole.
    Errors:
This term reminds me of playing basketball cans. One day just bouncing the basketball around and bored. My friend starts shooting the ball at the can . We thought it was good then we continue to play.

    Exaptation:
This reminds me of getting a broomstick and breaking. We use it as a bat for baseball with a tennis ball.
