- What were the most compelling topics learned in this course?
Describe an innovation idea that is not possible today but will be available in the next 15–20 years.
From the presenter, Kelvin Kelly is that in the next 5000 days suggests that what is going to happen is that all these computers, handhelds, cell phones, laptop, and servers basically will have out of all those connections are that we will have one computer. All those devices will be looking into one screen into the web. What is going to happen is that the one machine is the most reliable system, which has no interruption and has not crashed. Just think about it no other machine has never run the number of hours and days in 5000 days that never fail. What does the web give as far as numbers are: (Kelly,2007)
- What were the most compelling topics learned in this course?
The most compelling topic from the course that I think are:
1). Describe an innovation idea that is not possible today but will be available in the next 15–20 years.

2). • Introduce and discuss the content of a video, addressing the innovation from this Web site, and post a reference for the video.
The video from Linus Torvalds” The Mind behind Linux” which I thought was a very good video. In 1991, Linus created Linux open source software. As of today, Linus Torvalds Linux operating system software is in millions of computers. It runs on most of the devices on the internet. Includes on a billion in have of android devices. With Linus Torvalds Linux headquarter is a single computer call the walking desk.
3). • Discuss 1 technology and 1 key trend from this Web site.
Technology
The one technology that I would like to discuss is with educational technology. In this article there was and case study was done to track the emerging technology of colleges and university on with the culture change of how the schools are fundamentally changing their thought process with respect to how school works. One of the changes that became a challenge has to do with a combination of formal and informal learning and teaching which is probably one of the most durable challenges, some of the colleges are finding ways to get informal resources into their coursework.
Trend
In the articles that were observed is the technological technique that could support these vehicles for innovation with a change such as Bring your own devices also with other things such as analytic and adaptive learning which is supported by the higher learning institutions. In this research, the author hopes to inform the colleges and university about the choice that are be made in regards to the technology to improve the teaching, learning, support and creative inquiry with the higher learning across the world
4). What is a Socio-Technical system
I would like to start by stating what is Socio-technical system – which is a useful group of related components working as a team to achieve a common goal. Which may include software or hardware as well as it is mechanical or electrical? You can use CTU online as a socio-technical system.
- How did participating in discussions help your understanding of the subject matter? Is anything still unclear that could be clarified?
Actually, the Chat session that you provided very detailed. So you open my mind to an interesting topic the “The first 5000 days of the Internet”. Then as I saw the video from Mr. Kelly I was amazed at how the internet has evolved. The best thing about the how the internet is changing actually help me with my dissertation. My topic is on the “Privacy and security of information in a Cloud Computing infrastructure. Finally, the discussion on the First 5000 days of the Internet is very clear. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next 5000 days of the internet. What kind of technology will emerge and how it will be used with the internet?
- What approaches could have yielded additional valuable information?
I cannot think of any approach that could have added any more information on the subject dealing with the “The first 5000 days of the internet “ . Your chat and the video from my standpoint was great.
