The final paper should have all areas completed, as follows:
Introduction
In this paper, I will be introducing the Online or Virtual Church. This is a real innovation that a few church uses but is not as popular as going to a walk-in church for worship. With using the online church as long as the person as internet access either from a smartphone or computer will allow a person to view a church service.
Scope
Feature
The ability to reach many people through the internet
The ability to worship from a remote location
The ability to worship alone or with others
Limitation
If no internet no church service
Purpose
God kingdom building
Bring people closer to Christ
Able to hear the gospel be preaching
Able to have church services at home or remote
Supporting Forces
The Pastor will be able to teach the faithful in sound learning, to guard purity of doctrine.
Allow the users to interact with the computer or handheld device visually with and images also Allow hearing by means of speakers or headphones.
Allow users to have church service from home or anywhere
Challenging Forces
Users cannot connect to the internet.
Users cannot afford the internet services
Users do not have the computer or the ability to buy
Users do not know how to use new technology
Methods:
The method I prefer to use is the Delphi Method which was developed as a systematic approach as forecasting method that relies on experts
Models:
1)
2).
Analytical Plan:
1)I Will evaluate by doing a survey with the numbers of users access the virtual church and fill out the information online.
2) Will validate the numbers of uses access the website from the internet
3). How much money that was collected from the virtual church?
Anticipated Results:
1). The social impact will be how many new users that will come to Christ.
2) How many new users will access the virtual church website
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the diffusion of innovation is a concept that explains how and why and with what rate does ideas within technology advances. An Author name Everett Rogers who worked as a professor in the area of communication studies wrote a book call the “Diffusion of Innovation “which was first published in 1962 and current now in the fifth edition (2003). Mr. Rogers states that diffusion is a process whereas the innovation is conveyed over a period of time with participant within a social system.
Roger states that there are four main elements that are a factor with new ideas
1). The idea itself
2). The channel of communication
3). Time
4). Social system
There are several characteristics of the diffusion of innovation which are
1) Characteristic of innovation
- compatibility with pre-existing system
- the complexity to learn
- testability
- reinvention
- observed effects
2). Characteristic of individual adopters
- personality traits that has been explored for their impacts on adoptions
- ability to motivate with the situation other than personality traits
- impact on adopter likelihood to adopt
3). Characteristic of organization
- the organization is both aggregate of its personal and its own system with procedures
-organization characteristic fit well with the personal characteristic
Finally, I think that with the way that the internet Is growing. Churches has to have to grow with the new technology if they want to get new members. I with the way socio technology is so user-friendly. It will be the wave of the future.
Areas of Future Research:
11). Video conferencing in the area of worship, bible study and any meetings.
22). Increase the bandwidth for scalability.
33.) Technology growth for software and hardware components
