In this paper, I will be discussing what I think the main topic of this course. And how it ties into my Dissertation Topic. I like the title of the course Futuring and Innovation which lead into the basis of my paper. The main topic of one of my assignment in the course has to do with the next 5000 days of the internet. from the presenter, Kelvin Kelly is that in the next 5000 days suggests that what is going to happen is that all these computers, handhelds, cell phones, laptop, and servers basically will have out of all those connections are that we will have one computer. And how it relates to my dissertation topic is that I will hope to have a done dissertation in the privacy and security of data within the cloud computing infrastructure.
In connecting my dissertation with in my opinion was the main topic of discussion was the “First 5000 days of the internet” fits together well. My dissertation topic also has to do with the internet. Actually, my dissertation topic is “Privacy and security of information within the Cloud Computing infrastructure. I feel as the internet grows in the next 5000 days’ cloud computing with security will become more important. More and More individual will rely on his internet in some form or another. In the next 5000 days of the internet. The internet will become the internet of things. One window into one big or large computer.

My topic was developed with the idea of how does personal information get protect under someone else infrastructure. I am a network security and I am in charge of the network security for my company. I was also at a company that had to have PCI and HIPAA standards auditing done. I am fully aware of the security hole in a network. But with cloud computing infrastructure we have to depend on other controlling personal information.
The forces that support my discussion and dissertation topic has to do with technology. With dealing with the cloud solution you have to consider cost saving along with the company performance and reliability. Some companies deal with either
Private Cloud
-    the price and simplicity to have cloud onsite
-    The integration with movement for workload of the business
Public or Service Provider Cloud
-    Offsite disaster recovery
-    Cloud Computer infrastructure as a service
-    Hardware as a service

  • What were the most compelling topics learned in this course?

Describe an innovation idea that is not possible today but will be available in the next 15–20 years.
From the presenter, Kelvin Kelly is that in the next 5000 days suggests that what is going to happen is that all these computers, handhelds, cell phones, laptop, and servers basically will have out of all those connections are that we will have one computer. All those devices will be looking into one screen into the web. What is going to happen is that the one machine is the most reliable system, which has no interruption and has not crashed. Just think about it no other machine has never run the number of hours and days in 5000 days that never fail. What does the web give as far as numbers are: (Kelly,2007)

  • What were the most compelling topics learned in this course?
The most compelling topic from the course that I think are:
Just think about it no other machine has never run the number of hours and days in 5000 days that never fail. What does the web give as far as numbers are: (Kelly,2007)?

2).    Introduce and discuss the content of a video, addressing the innovation from this Web site, and post a reference for the video.
The video from Linus Torvalds” The Mind behind Linux” which I thought was a very good video.  In 1991, Linus created Linux open source software. As of today, Linus Torvalds Linux operating system software is in millions of computers. It runs on most of the devices on the internet. Includes on a billion in have of android devices. With Linus Torvalds Linux headquarter is a single computer call the walking desk.

3). •    Discuss 1 technology and 1 key trend from this Web site.
Technology
The one technology that I would like to discuss is with educational technology. In this article there was and case study was done to track the emerging technology of colleges and university on with the culture change of how the schools are fundamentally changing their thought process with respect to how school works. One of the changes that became a challenge has to do with a combination of formal and informal learning and teaching which is probably one of the most durable challenges, some of the colleges are finding ways to get informal resources into their coursework.
Trend
In the articles that were observed is the technological technique that could support these vehicles for innovation with a change such as Bring your own devices also with other things such as analytic and adaptive learning which is supported by the higher learning institutions. In this research, the author hopes to inform the colleges and university about the choice that are be made in regards to the technology to improve the teaching, learning, support and creative inquiry with the higher learning across the world

4). What is a Socio-Technical system
I would like to start by stating what is Socio-technical system – which is a useful group of related components working as a team to achieve a common goal. Which may include software or hardware as well as it is mechanical or electrical? You can use CTU online as a socio-technical system.

  • How did participating in discussions help your understanding of the subject matter? Is anything still unclear that could be clarified?
Actually, the Chat session that you provided very detailed. So you open my mind to an interesting topic the “The first 5000 days of the Internet”. Then as I saw the video from Mr. Kelly I was amazed at how the internet has evolved. The best thing about the how the internet is changing actually help me with my dissertation. My topic is on the “Privacy and security of information in a Cloud Computing infrastructure.  Finally, the discussion on the First 5000 days of the Internet is very clear. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next 5000 days of the internet. What kind of technology will emerge and how it will be used with the internet?

  • What approaches could have yielded additional valuable information?
I cannot think of any approach that could have added any more information on the subject dealing with the “The first 5000 days of the internet “ . Your chat and the video from my standpoint was great.

The final paper should have all areas completed, as follows:
Introduction
In this paper, I will be introducing the Online or Virtual Church. This is a real innovation that a few church uses but is not as popular as going to a walk-in church for worship. With using the online church as long as the person as internet access either from a smartphone or computer will allow a person to view a church service.
Scope

Feature
The ability to reach many people through the internet
The ability to worship from a remote location
The ability to worship alone or with others
Limitation
If no internet no church service
Purpose
God kingdom building
Bring people closer to Christ
Able to hear the gospel be preaching
Able to have church services at home or remote
Supporting Forces
The Pastor will be able to teach the faithful in sound learning, to guard purity of doctrine.
Allow the users to interact with the computer or handheld device visually with and images also Allow hearing by means of speakers or headphones.
Allow users to have church service from home or anywhere
Challenging Forces
Users cannot connect to the internet.
Users cannot afford the internet services
Users do not have the computer or the ability to buy
Users do not know how to use new technology
Methods:
The method I prefer to use is the Delphi Method which was developed as a systematic approach as forecasting method that relies on experts

Models:
1)

2).

Analytical Plan:
1)I Will evaluate by doing a survey with the numbers of users access the virtual church and fill out the information online.
2) Will validate the numbers of uses access the website from the internet
3).  How much money that was collected from the virtual church?

Anticipated Results:
1). The social impact will be how many new users that will come to Christ.
2) How many new users will access the virtual church website

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the diffusion of innovation is a concept that explains how and why and with what rate does ideas within technology advances. An Author name Everett Rogers who worked as a professor in the area of communication studies wrote a book call the “Diffusion of Innovation “which was first published in 1962 and current now in the fifth edition (2003). Mr. Rogers states that diffusion is a process whereas the innovation is conveyed over a period of time with participant within a social system.
Roger states that there are four main elements that are a factor with new ideas
1). The idea itself
2). The channel of communication
3). Time
4). Social system
There are several characteristics of the diffusion of innovation which are
1) Characteristic of innovation
- compatibility with pre-existing system
- the complexity to learn
- testability
- reinvention
- observed effects
2). Characteristic of individual adopters
- personality traits that has been explored for their impacts on adoptions
- ability to motivate with the situation other than personality traits
- impact on adopter likelihood to adopt
3). Characteristic of organization
- the organization is both aggregate of its personal and its own system with procedures
-organization characteristic fit well with the personal characteristic
Finally, I think that with the way that the internet Is growing. Churches has to have to grow with the new technology if they want to get new members. I with the way socio technology is so user-friendly. It will be the wave of the future.

Areas of Future Research:
11).    Video conferencing in the area of worship, bible study and any meetings.
22).    Increase the bandwidth for scalability.
33.)    Technology growth for software and hardware components
