Technology

The one technology that I would like to discuss is with educational technology. In this article there was and case study was done to track the emerging technology of colleges and university on with the culture change of how the schools are fundamentally changing their thought process with respect to how school works. One of the changes that became a challenge has to do with a combination of formal and informal learning and teaching which is probably one of the most durable challenges, Some of the colleges are finding ways to get informal resources into their coursework. Some One University has already address the programs at individual colleges such as Cork institute of technology which recognized non-formal learning with students in prior work and life experiences

Trend

In the articles that were observed is the technological technique that could support these vehicles for innovation with a change such as Bring your own devices also with other things such as analytic and adaptive learning which is supported by the higher learning institutions. In this research, the author hopes to inform the colleges and university about the choice that are be made in regards to the technology to improve the teaching, learning, support and creative inquiry with the higher learning across the world. With the trends, there is short term impact that is a focus with measuring the learning ability. Then you have the midterm impact that moves to a deeper learning approach. Finally, there is a long-term impact that will rethink how the higher learning institutions work

In this article, the author discusses the role of a sociological thinking with the contribution of technology and science studies with social shaping the area of technology, network theories, and contemporary approach. (Sawyer,2002)

Allow you to interact with a third party system. Example paying bills. With the new technology the banks now have online bill pay. Where you can schedule payment for your bills. Another example

Technological

In the respect to technology the new wave of a student from colleges and university are is advanced and rapidly evolving with new technology and social media.

Social

In respect to the social impact with colleges and university, there are several ways of communication such as Facebook, Instagram, and twitter.

•    Research group decision-making methods. Start with the Delphi technique.

Delphi Technique Method – This a method that does forecasting from the results from a set o question sent to a group of experts. There are steps or rounds of question that are giving to a group of people. The answers from the experts are compiled and shared with the group after each step or round is done. With the Delphi Method, there are many rounds to the questionnaires that are giving to the experts so each member is a group of the panel is told as a whole what each member thinks. The purpose of the Delphi methods it reaches the correct response with the consensus of the group. The Delphi method was put together to get information from the person of the group without having to have a face to face conversation. One advance of the Delphi method is that it enables group problem solving with the process of definition, discussion, feedback with changes. Most discussions has at least three rounds of questions responses then resolution and report.

Brainstorm Technique Method -  has a combination of relaxing and information method to problem solving. This method encourages people to come up with ideas and thoughts that are original and to have accretive solutions to a problem or issue. Now it important when using this process to be structured and to have an analytical process when solving problems.

Face to Face Technique - is sometimes all a personal interview or survey which is used to see the participant in person so he can engage in the behavior of the interviewee either one on one or in a group. From a researcher point of view Face to Face method is a better option for a very reasons It has a have response rate , tolerable longer interviews, and a better observation of behavior.

•    Choose at least 2 methods to discuss and compare and contrast in your main post. Focus on the similarities and the differences between the various methods.

The two method I chose would Brainstorming Method and Face to Face Method

Similarities

Both methods can require in-person interviews. And you can observe the behavior because you are in person with both.

Differences

The difference is that will brain storming you are given an idea individually or in a group. While Face to Face you are answering questions

My name is Cullen Bass; I am from Ft Lauderdale Florida. Where I currently live. I am a Network Security Engineer for a Company called Cequint where we specialize in Caller ID for mobile carriers. I received my undergrad degree with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Unversity. My graduate degree is from American Intercontinental Unversity, with a Master of Information Technology in Information Assurance and Security. I have been a Network and Network Security Administrator for over 20 years. 

This class Futuring and Innovation is a very interesting course. We have to think out of the box.

I am not sure what the blog will be about . This is my first time creating one. To me, a blog is just like a form.
